When Comedy Was Fun

She was old...

But she was wise...

She was all pretty...

And he was all eyes...

She gave him a smile...

Smile back he did...

She gave him a wink...

And he flipped his lid...

“My name is Tarzan...

So, what’s your name?”

“My name is Betty...

But it’s all the same...”

She knew it was on...

He was ready to play...

She said “I don’t know...

Maybe not today...”

He said “But I’m willing...

You just gave me a wink...

Come swing on my vine...

And let’s grab us a drink...”

She asked “If I say yes...

Will you be very rough?

I’m a small town girl...

And I’m not so tough...”

“I’ll be gentle” he said..

“And I’ll be kind...

I’ll be just as smooth…

As a baby’s behind…”

Now we all know...

Where your mind has gone...

Johnny never got Betty...

And this poem is just a yawn...

🤣
