A Trusted Bond
There was a time, back in the day, when gun safety was taught in our schools, in the early grades. Many teenagers kept their guns in racks on the back windows of their pickup truck. It was thought of as both a right and a privilege for children all across America. It was just a way of American life.
A Trusted Bond
There was once a time when we learned...
That important lessons were taught in school...
We learned about safety and we learned to respect...
And we were all learned about the Golden Rule...
Our teachers were very well respected...
Our parents trusted them to teach us well...
It was a time when all children listened...
Or once we got home, our parents would give us hell...
Our parents never second guessed the teachers...
Our teachers were never wrong...
There was a trusted bond that existed...
Between the adults that was more than strong...
But something happened along the way...
When the lawyers and the unions arrived...
Suddenly it was them against all of us...
Where our trusted bond no longer survived...
It’s time to take back the classrooms...
It’s time to find teachers who want to teach...
It’s time for parents to throw out the bad apples...
A level of mutual respect needs to be reached...
At the end of the day, it’s about our children...
It’s about their future and their needs...
Finding the best teachers will determine...
Whether Johnny fails or succeeds...
