A Letter to My Nephew
Do you know how
To kiss a little girl...
Here are some tips
To make her heart swirl...
Stand facing her
Nose to nose...
Don’t freak out
If she steps on your toes...
Do not mention
What you’re about to do...
It’s all about timing...
And receiving her cue...
Stare into her eyes...
Like a loving puppy would...
Share your feelings silently
As only puppy eyes could...
Now take her left hand
Into your right...
Warm it up with love...
As only a true boyfriend might...
Now don’t forget to breath...
Remind yourself where you are...
You don’t want to pass out...
Since you’ve already come this far...
Whisper something sweet
Into her right ear...
Tell her she’s the one
And you want to keep her near...
She’ll most likely smile
As her butterflies begin to flutter...
Say “Your lips look delicious...
And yummy like peanut butter...”
Place the fingers from your left hand
Softly under her chin...
Lean in a little closer
As you caress her soft skin...
Draw her gently towards you
As her heart begins to melt...
You both know the timing is right
That moment of true love is finally felt...
As your quivering lips
Are about to finally come together...
You start to feel a strong tug
On the back of your sweater...
That moment of true ecstasy
That you two are about to share...
Comes to a screeching halt
As your mother yanks you by the hair...
You both came so close
To sharing your very first kiss...
If it wasn’t for your mother...
Your life would be filled with bliss...
Try not to be mad at your mom...
She’s doing the best she can...
You might have missed that first kiss...
But you’re still a very young man...
